Here are a few different recipes options for detox diet drinks. You can select one based on your detox goals. You can use them when you are doing a detox of a specific organ or you can use them when you are doing a total body detox.
The drinks should be taken before meals, three times per day
(three 8 -10 ounce glasses) throughout your detox.
The drinks are designed to keep you hydrated, flush your organs, and create
the proper pH balance of your body fluids. If you are looking for other drinks and drink recipes click to see our smoothie and detox herbal tea recipes.
Detox Diet Drink #1
This drink is a great option if you are doing a general detox. You can drink it during any of the detox diets listed on this website.
Spring water (6 oz)
Cranberry juice 100%, unsweetened (2 oz or ¼ of a glass)
Lemon juice – 1/3 of a fresh lemon or 1 tsp of lemon powder
Apple cider vinegar (1/2 to 1 tsp) – adjust amount to your taste
Apple juice – only if the drink is unpalatable (maximum amount is ¼ cup)
For simplicity you can multiply the recipe to make a large batch of detox diet drink that you will need for the entire day. Do this by mixing all of the recipes ingredients, with the exception of the fiber, in one large pitcher. When you are ready to drink it, pour 1 serving of the drink, add fiber, stir or shake, then drink. Sip your drink, don’t guzzle.
Detox Diet Drink #2
This drink is a
great option to cleanse your colon and balance the pH in your body. It can be
consumed with any detox diet listed on this website. There are two parts to this recipe.
Unfiltered apple juice (2 oz. )
Pure water (8 oz.)
1 tablespoon bentonite clay
1 teaspoon psyllium powder
Add Bentonite to water or juice, then add psyllium, shake well, then. Drink immediately.
Pure water (10 oz.)
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon honey
Shake well and drink.
Both drinks outlined above can be consumed frequently even if you are not involved in a specific detox program. Remember your body cleanses all day, every day and these drinks can increase the efficiency of your natural detox functions.
The drinks are not a substitute for your water intake. You should still consume at least 64 ounces of water per day normally, and more than 64 ounces per day during a detox.
